Tips and Traps in Drafting and Administering Special Needs Trusts

Please join us for a panel discussion on proper techniques for drafting and administering special needs trusts. Practitioners need to be careful when drafting and administering special needs trusts, taking into account any benefits or assistance that the beneficiary receives. The panel will offer advice regarding proper drafting of these trusts as well as how to administer these types of trusts to preserve the beneficiary’s eligibility for assistance. We will have perspectives on this topic from:

Attorney Rebecca Iannantuoni. Rebecca is an attorney at Day Pitney, LLP where she focuses on elder law and planning for persons with special needs.

Kerry Tedford-Coles. Kerry is the Executive Director of Planned Lifetime Assistance Network of Connecticut, Inc. (PLAN of CT) and has extensive experience in administering special needs trusts.

Gina M. Sinon. Gina is a Vice President and Special Needs Trust Services Advisory Specialist with Wells Fargo’s Special Needs Trust Services and has experience in both drafting and administering special needs trusts.
