A Brave New World Opportunities Under Our Modern New Trust Law

Attorneys Kelley Peck and Tiana Gianopulos will review the many new planning opportunities for clients and professionals arising from enactment of Connecticut’s omnibus trust law, which now allows for the creation of asset protection trusts, dynasty trusts and directed trusts in Connecticut. This new law creates many new avenues to fix problems with existing trusts and to create new trusts with more flexibility and functionality. Both Kelley and Tiana were actively involved in the legislative working group that drafted and supported passage of this bill. Representing the perspective of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Bankers Associations respectively, they brought together the interests of the bar and professional trustees in crafting this landmark legislation that will benefit all financial, tax and legal professionals and the clients they serve.
