Timely Updates on Charitable Giving Matters


Attorney Jeffrey Haskell, Chief Legal Officer of Foundation Source, will discuss several timely topics related to private foundations and charitable giving in general. Mr. Haskell will give an overview of the state of charitable giving today and will also discuss:

1. Challenges in dealing with gifts of cryptocurrency;

2. A foundation’s ability to invest in vehicles that relate to its charitable mission and also improve the bottom line; and

3. Rules related to hardship giving in which it is permissible to make charitable gifts to individuals affected by a hardship, such as, a natural disaster.
