In the spirit of the Holiday Season, we ask members to bring donations of non-perishable food items.
2022 Recipient of your donations will be Loaves & Fishes Ministries, 646 Prospect Ave., Hartford
Your food donations benefits their pantry program offering nutritious food to families in the Asylum Hill neighborhood who might otherwise go without. Items needed include: pasta and sauce, rice, Spam or corned beef,soup, beef stew, peanut butter, canned beans and vegies, canned fruit, cereal, macaroni and cheese, tuna fish, powdered milk, baby food, diapers. How your cash donations help - $25 provides a bag for a client’s evening meal; $50 helps fill a pantry bag for a family in the Asylum Hill neighborhood; $75 takes care of a sewing machine repair for the Sewing Program; $125 pays for the entire soup kitchen noon meal for one day; $350 provides pantry bags for 7 families in the Asylum Hill neighborhood.
